⚽ — Balls with LEDs : a new game dimension

The former idea was to put LEDs on basket balls, but it could also be applied to all ball games (see below). With LEDs on balls — if you manage to keep the texture and consistency intact to play right — new game dynamics can be added, such as :

Special lights for a special player (goalkeepers, or someone particular), or ;
For a side ;
Special lights for a specific zone (i.e. : "hors-jeux", corner, 3 points, etc.).
Special lights for speed (i.e. : 100 Km/h for tennis), or ;
For altitude.

A basket ball with LEDs while in the air, color could change in function of shooters, side, zone or number of points in play.

There goes the same for a tennis ball. Long games going on in the nights could take another level with this. There LEDS colors change with speed.

➠ Special note for other adaptation

Just next, you can see a generative image of what a ball with an integrated way to make noise could looks like. Here, with speakers. This being unpractical for real games, this could nonetheless be done with systems found on whistling frizbees, see here.

➠ Why ?

For visually impaired or blind people to play a ball game.
For playing in a dark night.
For special training sessions (i.e. : for professionals) :
1. In the night without lighting to maximize senses use, to force player to :
  - Spot partners and adversaries ;
  - To attack and mark and to defend and stop the ball (i.e. : for goalkeepers).
2. For spare-time plays or professional training sessions taking place on a dark playground or with only some tiny light markers for players to position themselves, this could help :
  - Using proprioception (oneself body consciousness) ;
  - Attention to movements (by stimulating photo-sensibility) ;
  - To practice muscular memory (about the playground size, interceptions, defense and attack moves).
3. Tiny lights markers placed on previous training sessions could be then removed to ensure a perfect body-knowledge of the training field (engagement zone, "hors-jeux").
