If we spoke about conscious quantum beings, another kind of intelligent species is extrapoliable from this spacetime position. I called it Muscular from the biomechanical tissues that may surely characterize it.
Muscular is a global (but local) name for I gave to intelligent species that shift toward a mix of eugenism, bio-engineering and hybridation with machine, naming : cybernetics, brain-interface, artificial intelligence — and science-enhanced birth (see the video or this article about a AI nanny trained to watch over babies in artificial wombs).
The shift begins after reaching a certain development point between technological knowledge and biological knowledge. With the beginning of computer science, neuro-implants, bio-material grown in lab*, artificial intelligence, quantum computing and bio-computing, the hybridization process starts.
Although the debate about consciousness inside the artificial intelligence field is still going on in 2024 — nurtured mixed lifeforms, conscious in their own manner, could come to life. With a savant mix between bio-computers and biotechnology, as an AI seeking life if you will, some curious outcomes may appear, such as extensible bio-engineered muscular tissues (like extensible arms for example). At first bio-mechanic experiments, it could then become fully cybernetic and push the whole initial intelligent species to take this strange development shift.

One obvious driver of these intelligent species is the perspective of perpetual enhancement to get forever more sensory and perceptive inputs about their environment (a need inherited from their bio-mechanic side).
Like chasing conceptual and theoretical anomalies to get forever more exactitude through their captation systems. However, speaking of exobiology and metaphysics, species taking this development path may be bound to their initial biological senses.
For example, if they can not natively perceive dark matter or perceive magnetic fields (like magnetoception in birds), they may not be able to perceive it like animals process that naturally, even through bio-technological enhancement (or with a super bio-computer inside their head).
In my own view, I call them Musculars and doomed for this hybridization process may occur in the early stage of one intelligent species development : the shift taking the whole species away from natural biological evolution (Theory of Evolution — Darwin). All evolution steps becoming the results of complex calculus with cybernetic nurturing and no place for nature's magic...
Do you see the drift from there ? What will this species look like 1 000 or 10 000 years further in time ? What if Humankind take this shift now ? Or in 150 years ?
To widen the question : can processing time can surpass nature ?
