☘️ — Ecological wood-cutting model

This idea is really simple but important, to preserve forests from fires — which are greatly expected to occur more and more often as we enter climate change era (there is projected to be a global increase in extreme fires of up to 14% by 2030, 30% by 2050, and 50% by the end of the century) — a special cut path could be used to both cut wood and segmentize forest chunk to protect it from fire-cord.

It is simple to implement and use through a triangular pattern to optimize fire-cord (which is said to be 50 meters optimal width) and be then covered by sand or gravel.

Here you can see how the cutting pattern can protect triangular forest chunks from fire with fire-cord in between.

Note :

While seeming counter-intuitive in terms of cost-benefits, this is greatly and shortly covered at the very moment this cutting system prevents a major forest fire from propagating.

Extension :

It is possible to adapt this model with concentric circles containing the triangular cutting patterns to protect priority wild areas. Located in the center, these are those that host particularly rare and fragile fauna and flora - reducing the risk of a destructive fire to the unfortunate outbreak of a fire in this specific area.
