This idea is quite simple, for little towns or larger cities, the goal is to let cats or dogs walk around the streets as they wish for :

Force drivers to take care of the environment (speed and limitations), but also ;
To ensure another layer of security to the residents, especially, older peoples, women and children ;
Reinforce the attractiveness of the town or city (tourism), and ;
Bring peacefulness and joy the visitors and residents so they see, touch and take care of animals in the city.

De nouveaux panneaux incitant les automobilistes à ralentir à l’approche de zones à risque pour les animaux sont installés ou en cours d’installation à Mennecy, dans l'Essonne.

Ces panneaux peuvent être installés par les communes qui le souhaitent. Comme l'expliquent nos confrères de Démotivateur, plusieurs communes ont déjà sauté le pas et en ont installé comme Hondainville et Villotran (Oise). Ces panneaux sont homologués, libres de droit et il est donc possible d'en installer dans chaque commune. En tant qu'administré, vous pouvez faire une proposition au maire de votre commune. Lionel Garnier conseille, dans une publication Facebook, d'envoyer un mail à cabinet@mennecy.fr pour obtenir des informations sur l'achat de ces panneaux.
