Such environments in which we can observe straight lines produced by nature may not be suitable for livings beings (excluding extremophiles bacteria), in particular for habitability factors (i.g. : proximity of Jupiter's Great Red Spot or to volcanic faults).

➠ Possible incoming issue

Approximately two weeks ago from February 2nd, 2024, we've seen a very persistent straight line all above the Pacific Ocean in the cloud's patterns (the clouds covered all of the Ocean's width in a notable straight line) — although some have been visible for years (see above). This match with the accurate predictions for the significant inclination of El Nihõ in 2024 which was exactly bellow this visible cloud straight line.

If we consider this hypothesis — correlation between nature's straights lines and danger — we might stay alert about incoming developments in this area of the globe (Pacific Ocean).

Anticipation and prevention works are already underway as you can see here on DefenseOne, because in the worst case scenario, we may see the appearance of a persistent atmospheric anomaly on Earth — like Jupiter's Great Red Spot — due to anthropological climatic changes (consequences of human's activities) — this would produce unanticipated atmospheric issues, as well as aeronautical and marines consequences (such as a risk of natural no-go-zone).

Following the February 2024 note about natural straight lines showing huge amount of energy being held or released — thus being a danger for living being — I'd like to rework the last alert into a scenario of anticipation. Indeed several pictures from satellites and scientific observation show us that the hurricane tends to align in the Pacific Ocean since years — as well as cloudy formations.

In the worst case scenario if nothing is done about the climate issue, we could witness the appearance of a permanent atmospherical anomaly above the Pacific Ocean. Something that would stay like the Red Spot of Jupiter above the Ocean — like a permanent turbulence zone.

Searching for the worst possible outcomes for a scenario about a satellite being hacked in 2024, I would like to share one of my anticipation scenario sent to the Office For AI (OFAI— UK Government) in September 2022. This is done as a Hack-A-Sat wargame-challenge starting point.

May 2020 Context : Hack-A-Sat Challenge, a satellite hacking challenge from the Us Air Force, shifts to fully virtual event

April 2023 Context : Un concours pour pirater les satellites en orbite : l'Agence Spatiale Européenne veut se préparer aux cyberattaques dans l'espace 

Worst cyber-attack on a satellite to date ; the APT could spoof the stream of data coming back to ground operators to force them to do a move, as :

• Changing trajectory ;

• Spending fuel ;

• Create panic among operators ;

• Create panic among the space ecosystem ;

• Synchronize the attack with a sensible zone hovering, would it be :

1. 1. 1.  On Earth, or ;

      2. In space, and, or :

      3. For false flag attribution.

This multi-domain attacks could produce serious issues if hackers or Als manage to do it to enforce psychological / cognitive warfare on military LEO satellites operators.

For example, theses Als could hack into the onboard satellite survey system to trigger a false alert about incoming space junk on the satellite trajectory. On the attacker level, this could be done to force the ground operators to make the satellite move in the mere goal of burning fuel. This would be psychological / cognitive warfare done on the ground operators through a hack on the satellite to create a long term attrition on strategics assets resources (satellite's fuel).

➠ Gray-zone nuclear deterrence : a scenario (June24#3) #Key:Nuclear

This scenario is called gray-zone nuclear deterrence and is a hard wargame situation to defuse and anticipate.

The scenario :

A nuclear warhead is detonated under the sea at the middle of the Ocean, the warhead is not aimed at anyone but is used to move the threshold in favor of the puller (to see how the other will react). 

As the detonation is taking place outside the population Need-to-Know and only appearing in advanced radars, it may put the knowing people under extreme pressure, moreover if the Governments chose to keep the incident secret to avoid mass panicking. And, if the detonation take place in the same time as a official position statement by the puller, it may give him a huge advantage (the threshold being moved in the defender defavor).

If the attacker force the incident to stay hidden in the gray zone, what will happen ? Meaning, if the Governments chose to not make it public, where will the new threshold stand ? 

Finally, if you manage to find a solution to this difficult situation, could you transpose it to the orbital space ? Said otherwise, what would happens if a nuclear warhead is used in the orbital space, generating debris — as well as a possible Kessler Syndrom and EMR radiation ?  Or if it happens underground ?

If it force all actors to be alert, will Governments still keep it secret to avoid mass panicking ? 

How the knowing people would react ?

How many times could this situation last ?

A lone-wolf, an offensive artificial intelligence or a cyber department hack into public and private speaker systems to make everyone in the city — or the zone — hear hideous voices, screams or frequencies with nefarious biological effects (memory loss, dizziness, anger, stress, etc.).

How would you react ?

How would the civilians react ?

What if this is a self-replicating virus ?

➠ Wargame : Terminator's illusion (June24#5)

During a wargaming session we spoke about a very special scenario that could be insidiously toxic for the future of humankind. Here it is :

Imagine a military contractor buying AI automated weapons with little or no human in the loop — look what it mean here — for example, to secure a base with ground-to-ground or ground-to-air automated turrets.

Then imagine a third party actor (private or public, from the same country or not) placing a hacking device on turrets used to make the automated AI turret shot at allied assets (or the same through remote control).

This would create panic among the military and could make believe military personnel and Generals that AIs systems are rebelling. This rumor being propagated at a high military level, this might change the future's shape : people would progressively believe that they have to fight with AIs. 

In this case, this could push the will to abandon AI or to be extremely cautious about it — while the attacker would take the lead by progressing quickly with AI systems.

Knowing that screen addiction can cause severe troubles like polarization (a dichotomous division of thoughts and thus of society, see here) — how would we react if it was an engineered digital trouble for a third party purpose ?

For example, if it was to ensure a "perfect thought predictability" of humans through machine learning — AI — done to later manipulate all the users by making their opinions spin and spin again until they reach the desired point, and marketize it a such ?

This is an unanticipated scenario that can effectively happens during a preventive exercise about deadly virus outbreak management (a military or state-lead exercise).

If the information about the exercise is not being confined properly among the participants — or in the opposite, if the information about this being a training is too much confined by a restricted Need-to-Know — it can produce a crisis of collective hypocrisy if the information leak outside the training arena and circles.

DEWs or Directed Energy Weapons showing partially successful results at "human droning" — through V2K manipulation — could be sold in the shadow of he web (in the dark or in the deep) with deviant motives like transforming "life into a game" where buyers could make their own  "droned minions" — or  humans zombies — in the aim to build "cognitive cities"

Scenario :

An actor is creating a gray-zone cognitive war doctrine centered on blaspheme and immoral act promotion to propagate terror and repel his adversary for they are true believers. This would be an advantage for the attacker, even if totally unethical — as it would be a driver of fear and would work as real repellent for believers (whatever we speak of psychological or spiritual warfare) — and limit reaction from believers, but :

From a Biblical point of view this would legitimately incriminate them as heretics. Thus closing the loop as a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Note : See Santan II missile, ether it was named such by one side or the other, this is an instrumentalisation of religious belief and fears for nuclear terror.

➠ Anticipation : From post-truth to post-reality (July24#4)

Post-truth definition : a situation in which people are more likely to accept an argument based on their emotions and beliefs, rather than one based on facts.

Scenario :

A group or a majority of people — or a minority, such as an intelligence service for our scenario — slowly lose touch with reality by using potential generative intelligence : a new use emerging with generative models as they tend to be closer and closer from reality. For example, operators could ask the models : "What is going on in Baghdad right now ?" — and the models would mix up intelligence from multiple sources altogether and give up a narrated answer issued from their neural network. You would get something that "could be true and truly believable" but that couldn't be verified and that nobody could crosscheck during this time-frame. Letting AIs generate potential information about various subjects while trying to keep it  synchronized with the real world to guarantee its trueness (by ensuring perfect prediction of various events or personal choices, etc.), could produce such results. 

The system locked in an endless feedback loop, these people would progressively reach a post-reality : ending up in a false AI generated world.

Following the long history of hidden and illegal doping during sport events, a new doping-threat must envisioned due to the expense of neurotechnology or cybernetic (see Neuralink).

This doping technique may consist of a net of tiny microchips put under the athletes' skin inside muscles to be remotely activated through a wireless network to deliver tissue-stimulation : multiply muscle effort or relieving pains.

A malicious individual, group or organization could chose to target someone, a key individual or not, rich or not, to exerce a pressure for ransom.

The motus operandi seems to be to make the targeted person suffer through constant online bullying, thievery and, or, more aggressive attacks like making the target hacked speakers' (phones, computers, headphones) to display their insults or inconvenient and agressives sounds, in order to ask for ransom. If the person is rich, ransom might be imposed on themselves, if not, it could be used to ask ransom to government entities.

With new AI capacities, a new type of abuse is to be foreseen as automated generative tools may be used to generate online content — like websites — to keep you in a "clicking-hase-loop" in the mere of making you see and consume publicity. This have to be forbidden by state entities.
